Notice of Public Hearing - Comprehensive Plan - 9/14/2016
Notice is hereby given per Section 15.2-2204 of the Code of Virginia that a public hearing will be held by the Rockbridge County Planning Commission on Wednesday, September 14, 2016, at or around 7:00 p.m. in the Meeting Room in the County Administrative Offices, 150 South Main Street, Lexington, Virginia 24450, on the updated County Comprehensive Plan.
Copies of the Comprehensive Plan may be found in the area Libraries, the Office of the County Administrator and in the Office of Community Development. The Plan may also be viewed on the County’s website at “www.rockbridgecountyva.gov”.

Notice of Community Meeting Route 60 Corridor Study
Rockbridge County and the City of Lexington will host a community meeting on Monday, August 15, 2016, at 6:30 p.m. at Lylburn Downing Middle School located at 302 Diamond Street, Lexington, Virginia, where staff from the Virginia Department of Transportation’s (VDOT) Staunton District Planning will be presenting the findings and recommendations of the final Route 60 Corridor Study between the intersection of Spotswood Drive and East Nelson Street in the City of Lexington and the intersection of Quarry Lane and East Midland Trail in Rockbridge County, for consideration of adoption by the County Board of Supervisors and City
Council.
The study recommendations address long-term transportation issues associated with the Route 60 Corridor. The study considered multiple factors such as community input, traffic operation, future economic projections and existing corridor context.
