Overview
The Public Service Authority (PSA) was created in 1966 by the Rockbridge County Board of Supervisors to manage water and sewer services for county residents. The PSA operates in cooperation with the Maury Service Authority, the cities of Lexin
gton and Buena Vista, and the town of Glasgow for the purchase of water and wastewater services. It serves customers in the Lexington area, Route 11 north corridor to Fairfield and Raphine, Rivermont Heights Subdivision, Natural Bridge Station, the Arnold's Valley, Buck Hill, and Long Hollow communities.
The Maury Service Authority owns water and wastewater treatment plants located in the county and sells water and wastewater services to the City of Lexington and the PSA, its two customers.
The City of Buena Vista provides water and sewer services for the Route 60 East subdivision of Rivermont Heights and water to a portion of the Long Hollow system.
